Armored Primian Commander

This is a possible armor design for the "Primian Commander" in a sci-fi story I'm creating. His armor is made of a lightweight but powerful alien metal. Underneath is a techsuit that protects him from the environment. Draping down his waist and arm are fabrics from his tribe back home, to remind him of home when he goes on extra-planatary missions.
- How does he see out of his helmet? Well, I figure his helmet is made of a bulletproof material that functions like one-way glass, so you can't see in, but he can see out.
