The Little Mermaid Reimagined

This is some art I made for a project I was working on, turning folk tales into darker stories.
1. The Crab
I wanted him to look mysterious.
2. Poseidon
King of the Ocean.
3. Daughter
The King's daughter. After finishing her I decided I wanted to change her body shape, but it can be difficult making changes that late and I damaged the colors, that is why I made it black and white.

I don't particularly care for mermaids, so this is my take. They are essentially human beings, but with the ability of water-breathing along with having calf-fins that allow enhanced speed when underwater.
