Kotal Kahn (MK11)

This guy is one of my favorites in the game, I'm not extremely familiar with the lore but I think he is a Sun God and can transform into a Jaguar. He's also voiced by Phil LaMarr, who I of course recognize as the voice of John Stewart Green Lantern.
I like that this guy has blue-ashes on his skin and a big plume on his head. He just looks cool so I wanted to draw him.

This is my first big piece of 2021 and I updated my art style. I used to only draw on paper and have a scribbly style, but since last year I started drawing digitally I tried to use as few lines as possible to keep my art clean. Well now I am trying to balance the two styles and have digital art that looks clean but also has detail. So I am actively working to improve my style. I also updated my watermark, rather than have a URL plastered on my work, I'm now going to incorporate the title into the art and put the URL below it and try to make it look neat. I think it is important to leave a legible URL on your work so if someone sees it elsewhere they can find their way to your work!

I think he came out looking pretty beastly. I referenced screenshots from the game, because he has several details, so if I went off of memory he wouldn't look as good. I recommend using reference when you can because it will make your art better. Though sometimes draw from memory and you might come up with a variant that looks good.
I don't mind nudity in the right context and seeing as he is an ancient Sun God I figured he might dress like this some days so that is why I decided not to draw the skirt/robe this time.
